CHEESY BREAKFAST BISCUITS – Nickolai Salcedo & Muhammed Muwakil

Ingredients
2 cups flour
1¼ cups grated Anchor Specialty Range Sharp Cheddar Cheese
6 oz Anchor Unsalted Butter, cold and cut in small pieces
1 tbsp baking powder
¾ tsp salt
2 cloves garlic, minced or grated
1 cup milk
1 large egg
½ cup grated Mainland Parmesan Cheese
Directions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Lightly spray a baking sheet with cooking spray.
- In a large bowl, add the flour, salt and baking powder. Mix well.
- Add the Anchor Unsalted Butter to the flour and cut the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs. This can be done with a pastry cutter, with 2 knives or use hands and crumble the butter with fingers.
- Beat together the milk, egg and garlic together. Add to the flour mixture as well as the grated Anchor Sharp Cheddar Cheese. Mix together just until the ingredients are combined.
- Using an ice cream scoop or large enough spoon, drop the dough on the prepared baking sheet, leaving about ½ inch between each biscuit.
- Top each biscuit with a little grated Mainland Parmesan Cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 15 minutes until golden brown. Remove and serve.
