1 pack Great Foods Sliced Bacon

6 – 8 fresh button mushrooms, sliced

1 small onion, sliced

Salt and black pepper

½ tsp paprika

½ tsp pepper sauce or cayenne pepper

2 hamburger buns or rolls, split horizontally



Ketchup (optional)

Mustard (optional)

Cheese (optional)


  1. Cut the Great Foods bacon slices in half. Fry the bacon in a sauté pan until desired crispness is reached. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same pan with the bacon fat, add the mushrooms and onions and cook over medium high heat. You may need to remove some of the fat if the bacon has rendered a lot.
  3. Season the vegetables with a little salt and pepper. Add the paprika and pepper sauce. Cook just for a 1 -2 more minutes and remove from the pan.
  4. Assemble the sandwiches. On the bottom half of the bun, spread an even layer of mayonnaise. Place a layer of lettuce. Add the bacon slices in 2 layers. Top with some of the vegetable mixture. Drizzle with ketchup, mustard and cheese if using. Cover with top half of bun and serve.
