BEEFY TACO BOWLS ft Angus Eve & James Saunders

Joel presents his guests Angus and James with a delicious beefy filling and toppings to assemble their own taco bowls with the help of Old El Paso.

Ingredients

1 box Old El Paso Soft Tortilla Bowls or Old El Paso Dinner Kit

1 lb ground beef

1 tbsp green seasoning

3 cloves garlic, minced

Salt and black pepper

1 medium onion, diced

1 pack Old El Paso Taco Seasoning

1 can Old El Paso Refried Beans

1 can Hunt’s Diced Tomatoes

2 tbsp vegetable oil

Toppings:

Chopped lettuce

Grated cheese

Chopped tomatoes

Diced avocado

Sour cream

Directions

  1. Season the ground beef with a little salt, black pepper, green seasoning and garlic. Let marinate for approximately half hour.
  2. Heat oil in large frying pan over high heat.
  3. Add the onion and cook for 1 – 2 minutes. Add the seasoned beef and let cook for 2 - 3 minutes. Add the Old El Paso Taco Seasoning and the Hunt’s Diced Tomatoes. Mix well.
  4. Add ½ can of the Old El Paso Refried Beans. Mix into the beef mixture. Reduce heat to low and let simmer for 5 – 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
  5. When the beef mixture is almost finished heat the tortilla bowls according to instructions.
  6. Serve by laying out the various toppings along with the heated tortilla bowls and beef mixture for your guests to assemble.
