CARIBBEAN WITH LOVE COCKTAIL – Tyrone Benjamin
Tyrone recreates a version of his cocktail that he made in the local leg of the International Mount Gay Cocktail Competition for the winner of the competition, his bar buddy Justin Ballantyne.
2 oz Mount Gay Black Barrel Rum
3/4 oz Cointreau
1 oz coconut banana orgeat
1 oz lime juice
3 dashes vanilla apple pecan bitters
Garnish: grapefruit wedge and guava slice
Glassware: Tiki style or brandy sniffer
- Methodology: Muddle guava, add rest of ingredients, shake and double strain over ice into cocktail glass.
