CHAR SIU HAM FRIED RICE ft Tricia Lee Kelshall

Ingredients

2 cups rice, boiled to yield about 4 – 5 cups cooked rice
1 cup chopped ham (perfect for leftover Christmas ham)

1 large onion, chopped

1 medium carrot, diced

1 large sweet pepper, diced

1 tbsp Lee Kum Kee Minced Garlic

3 tbsp Lee Kum Kee Char Siu Sauce

1 tbsp Lee Kum Kee Oyster Sauce

1½ tbsp green seasoning

1 tsp all purpose seasoning

1 tbsp vegetable oil

1 tbsp Lee Kum Kee Sesame Oil

Few dashes pepper sauce

Pinch of salt and black pepper

Chopped chive for garnish (optional)

Directions

  1. Heat the vegetable and sesame oil together in a large pot.
  2. Add the onions and Lee Kum Kee Minced Garlic and cook for 1 minute. Add the carrots and sweet peppers, green seasoning, pinch of salt and black pepper. Cook for another minute.
  3. Add the chopped ham and mix into the vegetables. Add the Lee Kum Kee Char Siu Sauce, Oyster Sauce and a few dashes pepper sauce. Mix into the ham and vegetables and let cook for 2 – 3 minutes.
  4. Add the cooked rice in parts, mixing well after each addition to ensure everything is evenly distributed. Let heat through, about 5 – 10 minutes. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. Serve.
