CHOCOLATE CHOCOLATE CHIP WALNUT CAKE – Ashley L Designs

Ingredients
2 cups flour
2 cups Regal Caster Sugar
1 tsp Regal Baking Powder
2 tsp Regal Baking Soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 large eggs
1 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla essence
1 cup boiling water
3/4 cup Regal Walnuts, chopped
3/4 cup chocolate chips
Directions
- Line pan with baking paper
- Boil water and place to cool on counter or in fridge while other ingredients are prepared
- Add sifted flour, Regal Caster Sugar, salt, Regal Baking Powder, Regal Baking Soda and cocoa powder all to a large bowl.
- Whisk together dry ingredients till well combined. Make well in the middle of the dry mixture ( push ingredients to the sides of bowl till bottom of bowl is visible)
- Add milk, eggs, vanilla and vegetable oil to the middle of the bowl
- Mix together dry and wet ingredients using a wooden spoon till well combined
- Add warm water and gently stir till combined. Batter consistency will be runny
- Add Regal Walnuts and chocolate chips and stir to combine (can coat them in flour first to prevent sinking)
- Bake in 8" pan, 350 F for 30 minutes or until the testing stick is clean. Nb. Can add more or less walnuts and chocolate chips if so desired
