CHRISTMAS TREE PANCAKES ft JR LEE

Joel makes these captivating Christmas Pancake Trees for comedian and entertainer Gervail Lemo aka JR LEE with the convenience of Betty Crocker

Ingredients

2 cups Betty Crocker ™ Complete Pancake Mix

1⅓ cups of water

Green food coloring

Pancake syrup or honey

Powdered sugar to decorate

Sprinkles to decorate

Directions

  1. Make the Betty Crocker ™ Complete Pancake Mix as instructed. Add a few drops of green food coloring and mix into the batter for desired green color.
  2. Heat a large frying pan or flat griddle over medium high heat. Add a little oil.
  3. Each pancake tree is a stack of 7 - 8 different size pancakes. Make only one tree at a time. Using different sized spoons, make seven different sized pancakes from a large to small. Pour batter onto hot griddle. Watching each pancake carefully, cook until bubbly on top and dry around edges (small pancakes will get done first). Turn; cook other side until light golden brown around edges. Repeat with remaining batter, keeping the other pancakes warm.
  4. To assemble trees, stack on serving plate starting with largest size pancakes on bottom and stacking each smaller size pancake on top. Drizzle with honey or pancake syrup and garnish with powdered sugar and sprinkles. Serve.
