Joel makes these light and delicious biscuits using Regal Custard Powder, perfect for breakfast during the holidays.

1/3 cup Regal Custard Powder

1¾  cups flour

½ cup sugar

3 tsp Regal Baking Powder

¼ tsp salt

4 oz cold butter

1½  tsp vanilla extract

2/3 cup evaporated milk

1 tbsp lime juice

1 cup Regal Raisins

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Grease a large baking sheet with a little butter.
  2. In a food processor, combine the flour, Regal Custard Powder, sugar, Regal Baking Powder and salt.
  3. Add the butter and pulse until mixture resembles a coarse meal. Alternatively, in a large bowl cut the butter into the dry ingredients with a pastry blender or rub it into the dry ingredients using your hands.
Transfer to a large bowl and toss in the raisins.
  4. Make a well in the center of the dry mix.
  5. Mix together the lemon juice, vanilla and milk.
  6. Pour into the well and mix just enough to form a dough ball.
Roll to 1 1/4 inch thickness and using a round cookie cutter or the rim of a glass, cut out biscuits and place on the prepared baking pan.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
