HERBED SPICED NUTS ft Angus Eve & James Saunders

Joel whips up this flavorful snack with an array of Regal Nuts for his World Cup fan lime with National coach Angus Eve and Sports Anchor James Saunders.


1 cup Regal Cashew Nuts

I cup Regal Whole Almonds

1 cup Regal Peanuts

2 – 3 small packs Regal Pecans

¼ cup olive oil

1 tbsp chopped fresh rosemary leaves

1 tsp. fresh thyme leaves

1 tsp geera powder

1/4 tsp. red pepper flakes or cayenne pepper

1 tsp sugar

½ tsp salt

¼ tsp black pepper


  1. Preheat oven to 300° F. Place the variety of Regal Nuts in a medium heatproof bowl.
  2. Pour oil into a small heavy saucepan and place over medium-low heat until warm. Do not let it get too hot – the oil will burn.
  3. Add rosemary and thyme and stir until aromatic, about 1 minute. Remove pan from heat and stir in cumin and cayenne pepper.
  4. Pour the flavored oil over the nuts and stir to coat evenly. Sprinkle with sugar, salt, and black pepper. Stir again. Transfer to a jelly roll pan or a baking pan with sides.
  5. Place in preheated oven and bake for about 15 minutes total, stirring after the first 10 minutes. Let cool. Store in an airtight container for up to two weeks.
