ORGEAT TIKI SYRUP – CASHEW AND ALMOND

Tyrone shows how to make this popular nutty syrup used in many cocktails such as Mai Tai and many Tiki drinks. Traditionally made with almonds, Ty adds his twist using cashews and almonds.

Ingredients

1 ½ cups of water

1 ½ cups of white cane sugar

1 ½ cups of blanched almonds

1 ¼ cups of cashew nuts

1oz Remy Martin 1738 Cognac

1 oz Cointreau liqueur 

½ oz of rose water

Directions

  1. Place all ingredients in a pot.
  2. Allow to simmer for 20 minutes. Allow to cool and strain over into a tight jar.
  3. Store in refrigerator until ready to use.
