SOURSOP ICE CREAM WITH APPLE AND CHERRY CHOW

Joel creates an intriguing combination of flavors with Creamery Soursop No Sugar Added Ice Cream and an apple cherry chow.

Ingredients

1 tub Creamery No Sugar Added Soursop Ice Cream  

For the chow:

3 Gala apples, seeded and cut in small chunks

8 – 10 maraschino cherries, cut in small pieces

Juice of 1 – 2 limes

1 – 2 blades shadon beni, finely chopped

½  tsp salt

½ tsp black pepper

Extra cherries for garnish

Directions

  1. Make the chow - Place the lime juice in a large bowl. Cut the apples into chunks, adding to lime juice and tossing to keep them from turning brown.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients and mix well. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
  3. Let rest for approximately ½ hour in refrigerator if desired to allow the flavours to blend and the salt to draw liquid from the fruit.
  4. Scoop the Creamery No Sugar Added Ice Cream into serving glasses. Place some of the chow decoratively on the ice cream. Garnish with a cherry and serve.
