Spicy Chicken Bites with Creamy Chutney Sauce

From Cup of Joe Caribbean


2 tsp fresh green seasoning
Juice of 1 lime
1 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
1 tbsp paprika
1 tbsp ground geera/cumin
½ – ¾ tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp cardamom
1 tsp chilli powder

For the Creamy Chutney:
¾ cup mango chutney
¼ cup heavy cream
½ tsp geera powder
Pinch salt and black pepper
½ tsp pepper sauce


  1. Cut the chicken breasts into chunks and place in a bowl.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients and mix well so that the pork is evenly coated with the seasoning. Let marinade for at least half hour.
  3. Heat oil in a large frying pan over medium high heat. Working in batches, add the chicken to the hot oil and sear on one side. Intermittently keep turning the chicken chunks to brown evenly and let cook until done.
  4. For the creamy chutney: Place the mango chutney in a saucepan over medium high heat. Let heat through.
  5. Add the heavy cream, geera, salt, black pepper and pepper sauce. Mix until well combined.
  6. Let bubble for approximately 30 seconds.
  7. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. Serve with the chicken bites.
