SPICY GEERA MEATBALLS

Joel makes these flavorful meatballs for Jus Jase and guest mixologist Richard Atkins on Jus Jase Live Set Series !
Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1 medium onion, finely diced
3 cloves garlic, finely minced
2 tbsp green seasoning
4 – 5 blades shadon beni, finely chopped
1½ tbsp ground geera
1 tsp red pepper flakes
1 tsp pepper sauce (optional)
Salt and black pepper
Few dashes Worcestershire sauce
1 egg
½ cup breadcrumbs
Extra oil for greasing
Chopped fresh shadon beni to garnish
Directions
- Place all ingredients in a large bowl.
- Mix well preferably by hand to ensure the ingredients are incorporated into the meat. Do not over mix.
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Lightly grease a non-stick baking sheet with a little vegetable oil.
- Shape the meat mixture into bite sized meatballs of equal size. Place on prepared baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12 – 15 minutes, depending on the size of the meatballs, just until cooked through.
- Remove from the oven and place the meatballs in a serving dish. Serve with a creamy dressing of choice for dipping. Dressing could also be drizzled over the meatballs. Sprinkle the meatballs with the chopped shadon beni.
