SWEET AND SOUR MEATBALLS ft Adrian Kong

Ingredients

Meatballs

½ lb minced beef

1 1-inch knob ginger, peeled and grated

1 tsp Lee Kum Kee Minced Garlic

1 tbsp green seasoning

1 tbsp Lee Kum Kee Soy sauce

2 tbsp Lee Kum Kee Oyster Sauce

Salt and black pepper

1 egg

½ cup panko breadcrumbs

Sweet and Sour Sauce

½ cup Lee Kum Kee Sweet and Sour Sauce

1 small onion, diced

1 cup pineapple chunks

1 small, sweet pepper, seeded and cut in chunks

Pinch of salt and pepper

1 tbsp Lee Kum Kee Sesame Oil

Directions

  1. Make the Meatballs:
    Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. Place the minced meat in a bowl. Add the remaining ingredients and mix just until the mixture comes together. Shape into even sized balls (about 1-inch) and place on a greased baking sheet.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 8 – 10 minutes depending on the size of the meatballs. Remove from oven.
  4. While the meatballs are baking, make the sauce.
    Heat the sesame oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add the onions and sweet peppers and cook for 1 minute.
  5. Add the Lee Kum Kee Sweet and Sour Sauce and the pineapple chunks. Add a pinch of salt and black pepper. Mix well.
  6. Add the cooked meatballs to the sauce and toss ensuring the meatballs are coated with the sauce. Let the meatballs heat through. Serve warm.
