SWEET AND SOUR MEATBALLS ft Adrian Kong



Ingredients
Meatballs
½ lb minced beef
1 1-inch knob ginger, peeled and grated
1 tsp Lee Kum Kee Minced Garlic
1 tbsp green seasoning
1 tbsp Lee Kum Kee Soy sauce
2 tbsp Lee Kum Kee Oyster Sauce
Salt and black pepper
1 egg
½ cup panko breadcrumbs
Sweet and Sour Sauce
½ cup Lee Kum Kee Sweet and Sour Sauce
1 small onion, diced
1 cup pineapple chunks
1 small, sweet pepper, seeded and cut in chunks
Pinch of salt and pepper
1 tbsp Lee Kum Kee Sesame Oil
Directions
- Make the Meatballs:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. - Place the minced meat in a bowl. Add the remaining ingredients and mix just until the mixture comes together. Shape into even sized balls (about 1-inch) and place on a greased baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 8 – 10 minutes depending on the size of the meatballs. Remove from oven.
- While the meatballs are baking, make the sauce.
Heat the sesame oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add the onions and sweet peppers and cook for 1 minute. - Add the Lee Kum Kee Sweet and Sour Sauce and the pineapple chunks. Add a pinch of salt and black pepper. Mix well.
- Add the cooked meatballs to the sauce and toss ensuring the meatballs are coated with the sauce. Let the meatballs heat through. Serve warm.
