Joel elevates the regular tuna sandwich with the flavorful addition of pesto to carry for 3Canal and the Cut & Clear Crew.


6 – 8 slices True Whole Wheat Bread

2 cans chunk tuna, drained

½ small onion, diced

3 tbsp basil pesto

Salt and black pepper

½ tsp red pepper flakes

1 tsp lime/lemon juice

Tomato slices

Lettuce, optional 


  1. Mix together the tuna, pesto, onions, pepper flakes, lime juice and a little salt and black pepper. Taste and adjust seasoning.
  2. Spread tuna filling on one slice of True Whole Wheat Bread. Top with a couple slices of tomato. Cover with another slice of bread. Cut in half diagonally and serve.
