FRIED ICE CREAM

Ingredients
1 tub (pint or 1 lt) Creamery Novelties Ice Cream (flavor of choice)
4 cups corn flakes cereal
1 1/2 cups crushed vanilla cookies
4 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 eggs, beaten
Oil for frying
Directions
- Using desired ice cream scoop size, scoop the Creamery Novelties Ice Cream and place in freezer until ready for coating.
- Place corn flakes in a food processor and process to a coarse grind.
- In a bowl combine corn flakes, crushed vanilla cookies, cinnamon, and set aside sugar.
- Place beaten egg in a bowl for dipping.
- Remove the Creamery Ice Cream from freezer and roll in the corn flakes mixture, then coat with the egg and finish with a second coating of corn flakes mixture. Place coated ice cream in the freezer at least 3 hours or preferably overnight.
- Place oil in an saucepan allow to become hot (Tip: to test if your oil is hot enough place the end of a wooden spoon or skewer in the oil, once bubbles form around the base your oil is hot enough.
- Remove ice cream one at a time from the freezer and fry until golden brown, remove quickly from hot oil and serve immediately.
- It can be served with whipped cream and chocolate sauce or on its own: either way it’s delicious.
